What the hell is that? A kind of hybrid crane stroke floating platform stroke boat, which this guy was using (quite unsuccessfully) to scoop large water lettuces from this river...
Seems like a totally pointless job, reminds me a bit of the peasants in the Holy Grail, piling up dirt and filth.
Genius.
note: the views expressed by the peasants in the clip are in no way a reflection of the Thai Pirate's personal views on either the UK or Thai monarchy..... (Although he wholeheartedly agrees that having a sword thrown at you by a watery tart is not a basis for serious government).... Er.... Long Live the King... (and the Queen)

Very good! Can't beat a bit of Monty Python.

I would love to play with that crane for a while. Unfortunately I would probably flip it over and drown but I would have a blast up to that point.

What I don't understand is why I just spent over 3 minutes, watching a film in English - with English subtitles! And even worse, despite the fact I've seen it at least a dozen times and am almost word perfect, I read every one of them. Wot's that about?

Talen - Excellent idea, the guy looked like he was having fun, bobbing up and down playing with his big crane brane. I reckon brane racing / jousting would be a real crowd pleaser..
Captain P - I'm same. I think it's easier reading it..

LoL @ the "brane"
.. and just rewatched Monty Pytons's Holy Grail just the other day: I've only seen it like 4 times, so I can't quote much, but yeah, that scene and its implications I certainly did enjoy :)
dropping by via Malcom's mention of ya, btw :)
