With the rain finally beginning to relent, a bright blue sky and a regular cool breeze, Thailand has finally begun to cool. The rain puddles have dried, and left everything in full bloom. October, November and December are surely the most comfortable months for non-natives of Thailand.
(Pinky and Secret, who kindly stopped rucking for the picture)
In this cooler period its pleasant to get outside on the lawn and have a roll around with the mutts. I reckon they are the luckiest dogs in the whole Kingdom.... they now get regular grub, sleep inside at nighttime and get taken to the vet when ill.
We have lots of Thai's visit who say 'my...... how many dogs do you have'.
(Joe, having a good scratch)
Ten. This is largely because their life expectancy has improved... Before, there would be pups all over, with a high 'turnover' rate .... Whilst being a firm follower of the 'when in Rome' mentality, this aspect of the household has changed, largely my fault, but I can't have dogs dying around me all the time..... They've all had the snip as well, male and female...., which stops them venturing out, and renegade mutts venturing in.
(Lucky, in ambush position)
All in all, it makes for a happier house I think. Plus, since they've all started living longer, they have grown on the Thai's here more. Although, most of the locals no doubt probably think I'm a crazy farang.

Ben, you are a man after my own heart , I would have a dozen dogs if Ciejay would let me . you know Smokey had puppies (5) and we have found great homes for all of them , except I did keep a little male that I have named Sabu , and he is cute and smart , glad you love your dogs , I noticed how healthy they looked when we were there , want be long now till you will have a real boy to roll around the grass with , and I know you will be a great Dad . take care and by the way haven't seen any comments over on my post from the thai pirate lately . Hey Malcolm - apologies for not being more 'out and about' online you can imagine things are all over the place with work combined with walking on eggshells around Sutiya! Not much time for surfing right now. Thank you for your very kind comments, when baby turns up I hope you and Ciejay will drop by the shop for a coffee (or a lager or two) Many thanks, Ben

Ben young Wilai has just bought a third dog which is a cross between a Shitzu and a Poodle and luckily where he's so young and small he sleeps in the house. The other two bigger dogs sleep outside and I do worry that one night something is going to slither into the garden. Touchwood it won't.
Your dogs look fit and healthy and what a garden they've got to run around in. I love the pic of Lucky hiding in the bushes, it reminds me of our dogs Cola and Gaan who spend most of the day chasing each other around our patch. Best wishes to you all.

Yeah its a nice garden, its basically carved out of the jungle, consequently all kinds of prehistoric beasts roam or slither in willy nilly. Keeping all the mutts disease / tick free and healthy does feel like a full time job sometimes (but worth it) Ben
