All over the radio and Thai press there is talk of a return to economic growth in Q4, illustrating that the resilient Thai economy will quickly bounce out of the jaws of a gloomy global recession.
I personally think that might be a tad premature, if not a little over-optimistic, but I do believe that Thailand has a rosy economic future. My little observations of a hotel being built opposite a 'bolt hole' of ours seems to illustrate the point, as it rapidly grows skywards at an impressive rate.

These guys are not hanging about! My uneducated guess of them finishing August 2010 might be a little late. Post 2 here / Post 1 here

The Thai's love to build.
All you have to do is stroll around Bangkok and see all the abandonment building sites from the crash of 97.
What floors me is the fact that the building bubble hasn't burst yet. When it does places such as Pattaya will be hit hard.

Talen, from what I can see new buildings / hotels / condo blocks are springing up all over Bangkok all the time, you can't keep up with them. I have a couple more examples, I will dig them out at some point.
