Not missing this familiar aspect of Bangkok ....
The Thai fella on the buffalo at the end apparently says 'Thai people always have a cheerful heart'.
'Look Thung' (the name of the drink, and the background track) roughly translate as 'country life'.

Yep...thats wierd...

Funny advert - i ain't seen that before - then again i don't watch too much Thai tv....
'Look Thung certainly relates to country life. The literal translation is 'child of the rice field'.

Like it, the Thais do have an ability to laugh at themselves... appeals to a Brit sense of humour...

PS Dan - any idea why your blogs aren't updating chronologically on my sidebar blogroll? Only just noticed you've posted several times since 'Top Ten Thai Words' as I only check out updates. Anyone else have this problem?

That's exactly what it's like to be stuck at a red light in Bangkok lol.
More Thais should trade in their cars for water buffalo's...the highway death toll would drop dramatically.

Btw - I have a new friend in BKK who is now studying the Thai alphabet too.
Poor thing, she is physically closer to me than you are...
